Job Description:
  • Reporting to the Manager of Operations, with operational oversight by the Tax Administrator, the Mail Clerk is primarily responsible for providing mail and file room assistance to the Tax Services office.
Summary of day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Manager of Operations, with operational oversight by the Tax Administrator, the Mail Clerk is primarily responsible for providing mail and file room assistance to the Tax Services office.
Key accountabilities include:
  • Assist with the mail and filing room.
  • Scanning tax documents into client folders.
  • Reviewing tax notices of assessment for changes and filing in the client folder.
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
  • Students in accounting, taxation, commerce/business administration or any of the professional accounting programs (CA/CMA/CGA/CPA) are preferred.
  • Proficient with CCH TaxPrep software, CRA’s EFILE Online and Represent a Client system, an asset.
Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Experience in a professional tax services environment.
  • Strong computer skills, experience with MS Office and Adobe Professional.
  • Effective time management, organizational, and communication skills.
