(Flexible work schedule).Travel: Some field work and travel can be expected, but most work will be in the Cariboo-Chilcotin Region of central British Columbia.Compensation: $42 - $65 per hours worked plus professional dues, benefits, vacation pay, RRSP program with employer contribution, annual bonus program, and more. - Promoting and modeling a progressive safety culture according to DWB safety program.
- Providing leadership, professional guidance and advice, and project management for a broad range of environmental projects in a variety of natural resource sectors.
- Interacting with clients on projects as Environmental/Discipline Lead or Project Manager.
- Leveraging existing and new client relationships to grow environmental market share.
- Developing quotes, proposals, and other business development related activities to establish new client relationships.
Your education, training, and memberships: - Must be a BC-regulated environmental professional (i.e., RPBio, PAg, RPF, PGeo, PEng).
Your skills and experience: - At least eight (8) years of demonstrated relevant work experience, including direct staff management.
- Effective relationship and networking skills are required to help cultivate relationships with clients, First Nations, regulators, and DWB team members.
- Project management and organizational skills to coordinate and support team members, manage client expectations and project safety, budgets, and equipment.
- Experience and enthusiasm for mentoring and training team members and supporting their professional development.
- Ability to review and prepare professional reports, study designs, and develop project proposals and quotes.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations in BC to ensure legal compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategic solutions.
