- Provide general office functions: incoming calls, typing, maintain filing system, operating office equipment, coordinate & distribute mail & supplies, appointment bookings;
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings, record, type and distribute minutes;
- Maintain adequate general office supply inventory for the Medical Transportation Call Centre;
- Preparing necessary forms, certificates and medical attendance, transportation warrants and distributes copies as necessary;
- Coordinating the medical transportation to ensure maximum economy and efficiency;
- Informing and education the Band Membership of the First Nations and Inuit Health (FNIH) role and responsibilities of patient transportation assistance and client responsibilities when medical travel assistance is required;
- Coordinating appointments with attending Physician’s clinics;
- Assist clients with making appointments as necessary;
- Prepare month-end reports and monthly inventory reports;
- Minimum Certificate in Administration; Combination of education and relevant experience may be considered;
- Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential;
- Able to work within multidisciplinary team;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Experience working within a First Nations Organization and/or working with First Nations is an asset;
- Ability to speak/understand Cree is a definite asset;
- Must have valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
