We are looking for an Infrastructure Coordinator for a 6-month contract position, with the potential to convert to full-time employee in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.Role Description:
The Infrastructure Coordinator is responsible for strategic planning within the IT department and in conjunction with other business units to support alignment between business and IT goals. The successful candidate will stay abreast of current and innovative technologies and share knowledge and understanding with the team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate annual planning for the team.
  • Manage resource workload.
  • Help prioritize work for the team, both project and operational.
  • Ensure progress is tracked and timelines are managed.
  • Provide and reinforce structure, standards, documentation, and governance to the team.
  • Ensure the team follows IT policies, security protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Work with teams to define KPIs and measure against them.
  • Continuously assess IT processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with the team to implement improvements and streamline processes for increased efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for services, support, and procurement.
Qualifications:
  • Computer Science Degree or similar related degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably E&P companies.
  • Strong Leadership and mentoring skills are a necessity.
  • Excellent overall Oil & Gas industry knowledge. Must have a good understanding of all the business units within an E&P company and how they operate together.
  • Experience with Microsoft technology stack, including Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Azure.
  • Strong IT related technical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management practices and principles. ITIL certification preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to share expertise with team members to develop them to improve their performance.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and statistics to identify trends, contribute to avoidance tactics, and provide appropriate support.
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to balance operational workload with project-based workload and prioritize accordingly.
