Covers driving routes and pickups / deliveries for Linehaul Drivers and Linehaul Drivers Pickup & Delivery, which may be in any shift.Job Details:Location: Regina Depot, 120 Hodsman Road, Regina SKWorking Hours: 40 Weekly hoursScheduled Shift: Varies, dependent upon needEmployment Contract: PermanentHourly Wage: Starting wage of $35.03 (as per collective agreement)Responsibilities
  • Drive to/from customer locations and safely operate company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements
  • Resolves problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
  • Picks up, delivers, and loads/unloads freight at customer locations
  • Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
  • Conducts vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)
  • Work various hours (morning, afternoon or overnight) as required
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise while on road
  • Build positive relationships with both our internal and external customers (dispatch, colleagues , managers)
  • Comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures
  • Work in a safe manner at all times
  • Maintain punctual attendance
  • Shunt Duties as assigned
  • Other duties as required
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Class 1
  • Clean Driving Abstract (please upload a current driver's abstract with your resume)
  • Must successfully pass written & road test(s)
  • Must successfully pass Defensive Driving course
  • Must successfully pass Courier Methods training course
  • Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction
  • Must be able to handle LTL freight and skids
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
ExperienceClass 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
