- Participate in structural site investigations, inspections and reviews; collect field data and assist with the preparation of technical reports, inspection reports and compliance letters;
- Assist in the assessment and documentation of existing structural conditions through structural condition assessments and engineering studies;
- Support engineering calculations, analysis and design of structural elements including concrete, steel, masonry and wood, under the supervision of licensed Professional Engineers;
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of project deliverables, including technical reports, drawings and specifications;
- Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle;
- Support the Engineering team to meet project objectives related to scope, schedule and budget;
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety policies at all times.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural option) or Structural Engineering from an accredited university (new graduates encouraged to apply);
- Registered or eligible to register as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with PEO (asset);
- Academic or co‑op experience in structural engineering or construction (asset);
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Structural analysis and design principles (steel, concrete, wood, masonry);
- National Building Code of Canada and Ontario Building Code (asset);
- Exposure to structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, SAFI, etc.);
- Interest in site reviews and field investigations;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English required (French considered an asset);
- Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment;
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities;
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance;
- Valid driver’s licence, access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel throughout Ontario, as required.
