Based out of Langley, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction accountant who is looking for a new challenge!ABOUT THE CLIENTImpact recruitment has partnered with a family-owned construction company that has been around for over 15 years and are currently looking to add an experienced accountant to their team! The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience.ABOUT THE POSITIONReporting to the owner, the controller will be responsible for accounting and office management duties:
Supervise and manage the accounting staff, oversee the HR and benefits program.
Ensure compliance and efficient performance for all IT equipment.
Assist with hiring and streamline corporate policies and procedures.
Maintain banking relationships, manage cashflow, investments and financial reports.
Month/year end financial statements and collaborate with external accountants for tax and audit work.
Prepare annual budgets, financial projections and multiyear business plans.
Process project-based accounting for construction projects, i.e., report, billings, costing, PST filings and job charge outs.
Oversee corporate credit cards, project cost reports and project bonuses.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of accounting experience.
Diploma or degree in accounting
Experience in construction accounting
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary: $90,000 to $115,000
3 weeks’ vacation
