- 1 to 2 years of administrative experience in a oil and gas or construction environment
- A passion for getting into the Human Resources field
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and with confidence
- Self directed, able to set priorities and meet deadlines
- High degree of competence, reliability and judgement demonstrated in all aspects of work
- Intermediate to advanced skills with G-Suite an asset
- Experience with BambooHR and/or Bis Safety an asset
- Create job postings and lead recruitment efforts for all trades positions and entry-level office roles.
- Facilitate shop and field onboarding, including creating offer letters and tracking new hire orientation progress.
- Verify new hire safety tickets and business information to ensure 100% site readiness.
- Schedule and complete Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing and QFit Mask Tests.
- Reach out to Alberta Industry of Training (AIT) officers for clarifications and assist workers with apprenticeship applications.
- Maintain the Apprentice Ratios Spreadsheet and the Apprenticeship Reimbursement Tracker.
- Send notices of release, update Bluebook hours, and manage reimbursement payout emails.
- Maintain accurate worker profiles, handle HR tracking, and manage documentation.
- Update tickets, maintain ticket reports, and manage scan cards for the Calgary Shop.
- Manage enrollments, terminations, and reactivations for HSA, Canada Life, and Manulife
- Monitor expiring tickets; communicate with workers via email, text, and phone to schedule renewals.
- Create ticket packages for site mobilizations and generate POs for training courses.
- Send "Clear for Work" emails and dispatch pre-mobilization details (including PPE requirements like coveralls and hard hat types).
- Act as the first point of contact for intermediate HR questions, referring complex matters to senior resources.
- Assist with Progressive Discipline reviews and consultations (Levels 1-2).
- Compile layoff, recall, and termination letters as required.
- Administer Service Awards and manage Short-Term Disability (STD) claims.
