- Lead and coordinate engineering scopes related to community and municipal infrastructure, including water/wastewater, roads, site servicing, drainage, and related works
- Act as a project manager or technical lead, depending on project needs
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, drawing on technical specialists from Dillon offices across Canada as required
- Work directly with clients, regulators, utilities, and other stakeholders
- Support construction administration and field activities, including travel to Northern communities
- Apply territorial standards and regulatory requirements in project delivery
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project partners
- Take part in early-stage discussions and help shape opportunities as they emerge
- Contribute to proposals, statements of qualifications, and pursuit planning
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and regional engagement activities
- Act as a visible, responsive Dillon representative in the Northern market
- Support and mentor junior and intermediate staff working on Northern projects
- Contribute to a collaborative, adaptable team environment

Qualifications:What you will need to succeed
- Degree in Civil Engineering (municipal focus preferred)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for licensure
- Typically 7+ years of experience in consulting or related roles (intermediate to senior level)
- Experience delivering or coordinating municipal or community infrastructure projects
- Comfort working across disciplines and coordinating work beyond your own technical specialty
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
- Interest in client relationships, project coordination, and practice development
- Willingness to be locally present in Yellowknife and to travel within the North as required
- Northern or remote project experience
- Experience in water/wastewater, roads, servicing, or community infrastructure
- Exposure to regulatory processes or construction administration
Experience:
- Experienced in the design of various municipal infrastructure including water supply systems, sewage systems, roadways, storm water management works, underground and surface site servicing works, and/or waste management facilities
- Experience in the design of linear water and sewer and treatment infrastructure in northern Canadian communities would be an asset.
- In depth knowledge of contract administration services and requirements, including Master Municipal Construction Documents
- Familiarity with municipal servicing standards and environmental approvals requirements
- Demonstrated skills in public and agency consultation
- Strong proficiency in proposal and report writing, presentations, communications, organization and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential
