
Oil and Gas Business Development Manager - Automation

- Develop and execute strategic business development plans focused on the oil & gas industry.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue high-value project opportunities aligned with core offerings.
- Grow key accounts and develop new client relationships through consultative and technical selling.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and lead project discussions with engineers and procurement teams.
- Track sales performance and pipeline activity through CRM platforms.
- Leverage technical expertise to propose solutions for valve automation, control systems, and other industrial applications.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
- Based in Calgary, with travel (~50%) to Fort McMurray and other client sites as required.
- Balance fieldwork, client meetings, and home-office responsibilities effectively.
- Deliver between $3-6 million in annual revenue through new and existing accounts.
- Grow market share in Alberta's upstream and midstream sectors.
- Consistently identify and convert high-potential leads into long-term clients.
- Achieve annual double-digit sales growth.
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related technical field is required.
- 3+ years of technical or sales experience within the oil & gas, industrial automation, or process industries.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and P&IDs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software; experience with Salesforce is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
