Job Description:Major Job Functions:Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipmentPerform field diagnosis and field running repairsUtilize Caterpillar SIS and ET dailyComplete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes, site failure reports)Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning teamWork with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as requiredQualifications:Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification (Red Seal) would be an assetRed Seal Off Road certificate requiredValid driver’s license with a successful recent 5 Year Drivers AbstractProven field experience with a preference for experience in mining operationsSafety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail and ability to work independentlyComputer literacy along with an understanding of Finning systems and software programs would be considered assetsPrevious Caterpillar mining product repair experience would be considered an assetImportant Details:This position is based on a 14x14 continuous shift rotation with your home base as Prince GeorgeTravel allowance (to get to Marshalling Point)Camp AccommodationsA condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (will include Drug & Alcohol, ability to wear a respirator and Fitness testing)Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
