Brandt is currently seeking a Governmental Account Manager for the Greater Toronto Area, reporting to our Mississauga location.This position is responsible for all aspects marketing heavy equipment to the governmental market and is expected to sell construction products as designated by Brandt to all governmental entities within the designated sales territory.Duties & Responsibilities
  • Sales of new and used Construction equipment
  • Minimum of seven in-personal calls per day to your cliental
  • Quote machines using the tender process as received by the governmental RFP
  • Perform in person demo’s on equipment
  • Assist with customer relations
  • Assist with account receivable collection
  • Submit call reports weekly
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis
  • Manage any support issues between branch and customer

  • Knowledge of dealing with government customers and their purchasing practices
  • Must have knowledge in the governmental market
  • Able to read and understand tenders, contracts and RFQ’s as presented
  • Comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Strong selling skills and strategies
  • Excellent customer service, prospecting, closing, and negotiation skills are required
Required Experience
  • 5-7 years’ of proven sales experience
  • Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport, and be able to travel internationally as well as domestically throughout the assigned areas of responsibility
  • A recent driver’s abstract will be required
  • Relevant post secondary diploma or degree
  • Knowledge of dealing with government customers and their purchasing practices
  • Must have knowledge in the governmental market
  • Able to read and understand tenders, contracts and RFQ’s as presented
