- support departments and faculty to ethically engage with, explore, and deepen their understanding of Indigenous pedagogies, Indigenous knowledges, and practices of decolonization in the classroom
- support faculty individually or in groups to develop Indigenized learning outcomes at the course and program level
- work with other Curriculum Consultants and EdTech Advisors on incorporating Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing when designing, developing, renewing, and assessing curriculum at the course and program level
- share and promote effective strategies and approaches in teaching, learning and assessment throughout the College
- serve as an Indigenization resource for programs at all phases of the review process to better support the departments and quality assurance processes at the College
- develop resources, lead workshops, and facilitate conversations for and with faculty related to Indigenization and decolonization of the curriculum
- minimum of a master's degree with a preference for a specialization in Indigenous Education or a related field
- three or more years of working in an Indigenous-focused higher education setting
- three or more years of teaching or working directly with Indigenous pedagogies
- strong interpersonal skills acknowledging and showing respect for the opinions and expertise of others
- excellent facilitation techniques including the ability to identify and respond appropriately to the cues of others
- ability to work collaboratively with diverse academic and administrative staff
- excellent intercultural communications skills
- superior organizational and time management skills
- effective planning skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while setting and maintaining priorities
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- proficiency in computer applications including word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software
- knowledge and/or experience working among diverse Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island
- understanding of program and curriculum requirements of the Degree Quality Assessment Board, including the Post-secondary Institution Proposal System (PSIPS) and evolving quality assessment and program development expectations of the provincial Ministry of Advanced Education
