- Evaluation of supplier’s capability to provide items or services in accordance with the requirements of procurement documents, prior to contract ward.
- Perform vendor qualification audit as required.
- Perform QA review of procurement EQR package and other technical documents.
- Prepare Quality Tender Evaluation.
- Review and accept vendor documents such as inspection procedures, NDE procedures ITPs, and History Files.
- Provide inputs in selection of ITP control points based on technical requirements and lessons learned previously.
- Perform source surveillance at supplier facilities as per approved ITPs in accordance with RFBR Project quality program.
- Witness functional testing and other testing as defined by engineering documents.
- Verify items at vendor locations and perform final inspection.
- Sign off the Quality Assurance Release in accordance with project instructions.
- Distribute Quality Assurance Release (QAR).
- Interface with Client and Suppliers in resolving quality issues and report any major findings and trends to Project procurement Quality Manager.

- College degree in Engineering as minimum.
- Minimum of 8 years’ major project working experience. (Relevant nuclear field experience is absolutely an asset).
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and other type of engineering documents.
- Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic control system.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment, and techniques.
- Good knowledge of CSA N285.0, CSA N299 etc.
- Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and retube technology.
- Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
- Good knowledge and experience of special process (welding, heat treatment etc.) and NDE.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
- Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
