- Contributing to and supporting the business vision as it relates to content strategy and content delivery objectives
- Identifying the necessary elements for the DITA content model and their proper usage, including working with the content authors and editors and/or user experience designers to deliver content to consumers
- Determining if and how the content model will be customized (e.g., applying constraints or specializing topics or elements).
- Defining content organization standards including identifying proper reuse strategies for content within and outside of the storage system
- Creating and maintaining common reusable content (e.g., approved boilerplate text, warnings, product names, glossary terms, note usage, etc.).
- Creating content authoring templates and developing examples of content structures and appropriate element usage.
- Defining content access requirements, such as a faceted browser search support via taxonomy or index term requirements.
- Assessing content delivery requirements for each consuming system in collaboration with the Product Owners of each of the consuming systems.
- Identifying content for conversion from legacy systems and developing conversion specifications for the necessary source formats
- 8+ years of information architecture experience, especially DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) expertise demonstrated on multiple projects
- Key contributor roles on strategic and complex development programs for large scale enterprises in a global, decentralized environment
- Vision to identify, define, and refine the “Big Picture” for content usage for global content creation and usage.
- Strong communication skills to gain support for cross-product team initiatives from global stakeholders.
- Comprehension of business drivers and their impact on content creation, reuse, and delivery.
- Analysis of content structure for its semantic value.
- Strong training skills to train others in proper element usage.
- Collaboration with other roles to create, manage, reuse, customize, and deliver content.
- Ability to coach or mentor others.
