Job DescriptionPlease only apply to this posting if you are eligible to complete a full 12-months co-op term with your school.What is the opportunity?Are you interested in working as a Network Analyst co-op on the Infrastructure & Engineering in Technology & Operations at the Royal Bank of Canada?RBC`s Life Cycle Management under, Infrastructure and Engineering group is responsible for managing maintaining, renewing and delivery of technology infrastructure currency along with ensuring operational adherence to risk and near term or potential regulatory requirements. This group works to analyze current hosting and network infrastructure through a risk-based approach. The remediation of those risks and /or issues are managed through targeted solutions that include Hardware refreshes, vulnerability patching, software upgrades to ensure governance reporting and regulatory compliance of all assets within its purview.What will you do?Contribute to executive and leadership reports and presentations.Analysis, assessment, and planning of services, platforms, and technologies.Help support and drive the strategies, missions & mandate of TI/T&O. Accountable for fostering a good working relationship with peers, co-workers, customers & support functions.Contribute to the documentation of business and technical requirements, process flow diagrams, and end user communications.Collaborate with other team members to address and resolve issues, and work collectively to enhance current products or processes.Interface with other teams across the bank, gaining insights into various lines of businesses through proximity.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveCurrently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on STEM, Finance and Business ManagementExcellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environmentStrong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of ITIL. Project Management and/or Agile processes and frameworksKnowledge of Networking, Hosting, Technology Infrastructure domainStrong Productivity tool skills (E.g Excel, Excel skills including PivotTables and advanced functions, Jira, Tableau, Teneable, SQL Etc.)General understanding of IT hardware infrastructure, including servers and network devices.Effective communication: able to collaborate well with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate updates or issues.Attention to detail and Accountability: Take responsibility for accuracy in all tasks.
