We are currently supporting an innovative, well-funded, and fast-growing technology company in the recruitment of its next Director of Operations.
Our client is developing a high-impact technology within an industrial sector undergoing transformation, with a clear ambition: to scale globally.
In this context, the company is seeking a leader capable of taking full ownership of operations and becoming its architect. This role includes a structured transition phase before assuming full operational responsibility.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and drive the long-term operations vision
  • Build an organization capable of supporting rapid growth
  • Align operational capabilities with business objectives
Operational Excellence
  • Lead industrialization and NPI (New Product Introduction) processes
  • Ensure strong coordination between R&D and production
  • Implement robust performance standards
Supply Chain
  • Structure a high-performing global supply chain
  • Manage strategic suppliers and complex negotiations
  • Optimize logistics flows and downstream operations
Performance & Profitability
  • Optimize costs (materials, labor, overhead)
  • Ensure end-to-end quality
  • Track and manage operational KPIs
Team Leadership
  • Lead and structure operations teams
  • Foster a culture of excellence and execution
  • Act as the bridge between strategy and execution
Experience & Expertise
  • 3+ years in a senior operations leadership or management role
  • 3+ years in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience in industrialization / NPI
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Experience with ERP systems / supply chain
  • Solid Lean / continuous improvement expertise
Nice to Have
  • Automated testing experience
  • Manufacturing cost accounting
  • Global supply chain exposure
Languages
  • Fluent English required
  • Professional French preferred
Conditions
  • Salary: CAD 160K - 170K
