- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop mechanical components, with a focus on pumps and fittings for oil and gas applications.
- Utilize CAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D modeling software to create detailed models and drawings based on specifications provided by the manager.
- Work closely with the leadership team to refine process designs and develop basic drawings, incorporating senior input and guidance.
- Translate conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings and PNID.
- Actively engage in problem-solving, asking pertinent questions to ensure thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Demonstrate continuous learning and research to stay updated with industry advancements and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative environment, leveraging good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members.
- Embrace opportunities for growth by demonstrating curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to think outside the box.
- Gradually assume ownership of technical and engineering aspects of projects, taking on increasing responsibilities over time.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- APEGA certification or eligibility for certification is required.
- Proficiency in CAD and/or SolidWorks software for 3D modeling and drafting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
- Proven track record of demonstrating initiative, curiosity, and a drive for continuous learning.
