This individual will represent this segment across all of marketing driving value within this segment across all marketing teams.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCUSTOMERCustomer Insight & Trends; Coach team to understand & synthesize consumer trends, identifying research gaps and planning market research, interpreting consumer information for your business, anticipating customer opportunities, generating & applying customer insights.Build and Protect the Brand; Identify the brand's strengths and weaknesses, recognize the drivers and indicators of brand health and recommend corrective actions. Apply the Brand House to all aspects of marketing and be the key resource for the business on the brand. Understand end to end customer journeys and support the business to deliver the brand through customer experience.Influence Business Strategy; Provide thought leadership, strategic advice to executives within the business, be the voice of the customer and a trusted advisor to business partners for all marketing and customer activities. Influence and have an impact on price, product, distribution and promotions. Build and maintain close working relationships with key business partners to understand and influence business strategic priorities, and direction, ensuring that business objectives can be converted into effective marketing plans or customer strategies.Business Marketing Plan Owner; Set the tone and ensure the integrity of the approved Annual Marketing Plan is being delivered in a transparent way. Constantly evaluate and recommend change to improve business impact via marketing investment.Integrated Marketing Campaigns; Leadership and approval of campaigns and oversight of marketing execution for all projects within assigned limits and parameters to ensure on strategy execution, appropriate governance and stakeholder approvals are delivered. Coach and lead the team through the development of budget allocations, media strategy and creative executions. Leverage and build relationships with internal/external lead creative and media agencies.SHAREHOLDERWork closely with key business leaders to develop business plan, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD’s operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scalePlan and execute on strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordinglyExecute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategiesManage overall budget, revenue and expenditures, meet business objectives while increasing efficiency and effectivenessProactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with team to execute and implementCan improve or create new processes for the organization, with a medium to longer term impactMonitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices related to own area of expertiseProtect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessaryKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEnsure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of ConductCOLLEAGUE / TEAMContributes to the development of business segment and/or enterprise functional strategic priorities within their operational area or field of specialtyDevelops annual and/or long-term plans for own area and influences plans well beyond area managedDevelop a team of marketers in all aspects of the marketing competencies and act as resource and mentor to othersResponsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and guidanceSet targets and objectives for the team, and deliver resultsGrow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value deliveredLead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and provide regular input into employee assessments and development plansLead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectivesAct as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externallyBREADTH & DEPTHProvides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as requiredOversee and lead a large and/or highly complex and diverse portfolio for an area of significant complexity, scope or risk, while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business resultsLeadership and approval of campaigns and oversight of marketing execution for all projects within portfolio, leadership role in all BU campaigns to ensure on strategy execution, appropriate governance and stakeholder approvals are deliveredProvides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertiseManages and oversees the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practicesStrategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and;
