- Participate in operational escalations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
- Design, implement, and manage automated workflows for configuration and deployment in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- Develop reusable, modular code libraries to streamline workflows and support diverse use cases across network devices and cloud platforms
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments, and determine hardware or software requirements
- Identify roadblocks preventing the successful continuation of network services, determine options available to work past roadblocks, and escalate to leadership when required
- Understand how to administrate and support a variety of technologies including but not limited to Cisco Routers and Switches, Cisco Security Solutions, IGP and EGP routing protocols, VPN, and other technologies and vendor devices as needed
- Collaborate with clients and develop depth in understanding their business and how Long View network services supports their need
- Act as the go-to technical resource, assisting our clients with system monitoring, ticket resolution and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Work with clients on capacity planning, installations, patching, upgrades, configuration, and administration of systems on various physical and virtual platforms
- 3+ years of experience in an IT environment with network architecture design and deployment
- Experience with networking and security
- 1+ years of Azure, Google Cloud and AWS Networking concepts
- Experience with Meraki, Fortinet, FortiNAC PaloAlto, or Aruba devices
- Thorough understanding and experience with the following fundamental technologies:
- o IGP and EGP routing protocols, ie: OSPF, BGP
- o Route filtering and policy-based routing
- o Site-to-Site and remote access VPN technologies
- o Network layer Quality of Service (QoS)
- o Layer 2 Switching Technologies
- o Firewall Management
- o Utilize API-driven orchestration across Azure, AWS, and GCP to automate cloud networking tasks, including the setting of firewall rules, updating security groups, and routing traffic
- o Design, implement, and manage automated workflows for configuration and deployment in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- o Develop reusable, modular code libraries to streamline workflows and support diverse use cases across network devices and cloud platforms
- o Evaluate the potential impact of automated changes, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure network reliability and security.
- o Implement robust testing strategies before pushing changes to production
- o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network automation workflows
- o Familiarity with vendor-specific APIs (Cisco's NX-API, Juniper's Junos Extension Toolkit) and other network automation APIs and protocols such as NETCONF and RESTCON
- Knowledge of industry best practice LAN design and deployment methodology and a structured approach to troubleshooting
- Experience in SD-WAN, SD-Access and SD-Data Center technologies
- Ability to deliver concise, accurate technical documentation and diagrams
- Exposure to and understanding of network automation techniques and technologies
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) and/or related certification
