- Assist in designing components, simple mechanisms and housings using CAD software
- Help build and assemble prototypes using shop tools, 3D printers, and basic machining processes
- Contribute to the design of moving parts such as hinges, mounts, and adjustable fixtures
- Assist with integrating motors, sensors, and microcontrollers into mechanical systems
- Participate in building, testing and “breaking” prototypes to find the most elegant mechanical solutions
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering with a focus in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or a related field
- Familiarity with electronics fundamentals
- Basic experience with CAD tools
- Exposure to prototyping methods
- Experience with robotics projects (academic or personal)
- Exposure to CNC machining or workshop tools are an asset
- Curiosity, critical thinking and eagerness to learn new tools and techniques
- Active listening, strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Interest in photography, creative technology or user-focused product designing
