- Serve as the subject matter expert for Electrical Engineering deliverables, including drawings (GAs, DDs, EDs), change paper markups, calculations, design reports, specifications, bills of materials, and commissioning documents.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers in custom Siemens PLC programming for specialized engineered tooling.
- Perform programming and engineering tasks in compliance with internal procedures, client QA programs, and all applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, software–hardware integration, and prepare/approve related engineering documents such as test procedures, test reports, and operation manuals.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders while providing technical guidance to designers/drafters to support successful execution of engineering tasks.
- Provide timely engineering resolutions, perform field walk-downs throughout design phases, and prepare corresponding walkdown reports as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent recognized by PEO) with 15+ years of design, implementation, and construction support experience; greenfield or nuclear industry experience is an asset.
- Strong Siemens PLC programming background (Step 7, S7‑SCL, S7‑GRAPH, S7‑Starter, SIMATIC NET, WinCC Flexible, S7 Distributed Safety) and experience interpreting electrical drawings and Engineering Change Control.
- Skilled in Siemens SCADA programming (WinCC Classic) and communications technologies including PROFIBUS and PROFINET.
- Experience with PELCO systems (Endura Certified System Technician an asset) and solid working knowledge of relevant codes/standards such as CSA 22.1, the Canadian Electrical Code, and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
- Excellent organizational abilities, strong problem‑solving skills, and effective technical judgment.
- Willingness to travel and potentially work on project sites as required to meet corporate needs.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and member in good standing or eligible to obtain such registration within 6 months of hiring.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 2 security clearance.
- Experience in executing projects that are subject to import/export controls.
