- Partner with senior leaders and branch management to understand operational priorities, identify HR gaps, and recommend strategies that drive consistency and value.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Coordinators aligned to the business portfolio, ensuring high quality, consistent delivery of employee lifecycle and frontline HR services.
- Provide clear direction, prioritization, and oversight to HR Coordinators, ensuring compliance with standardized processes, policies, and service expectations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Operations leaders, balancing business responsiveness with strong HR governance, risk management, and consistency.
- Drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning, organizational design, restructuring, and talent optimization.
- Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, effective communication, and sustained engagement.
- Promote positive employee relations and coach leaders through complex employee matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations, in compliance with provincial legislation.
- Implement and embed national HR strategies, programs, and policies while balancing local business needs and operational realities.
- Champion health and safety initiatives and legislative compliance within the branches.
- Build leadership capability by preparing managers and HR representatives to address employee issues through coaching, guidance, and targeted training.
- Act as the HR lead for assigned national programs or projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the Quality Management System.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, client, and corporate information.
Hybrid – At least 3 days onsite weeklyQualificationsEducation & Professional Designation
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- CHRP designation (or working toward) preferred
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a multi‑location, service‑driven organization
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or managing HR professionals, ideally in a matrix or portfolio‑based environment
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders, influence outcomes, and provide trusted HR counsel at multiple organizational levels
- Experience leading organizational design, change management, and workforce optimization initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislation across Canada, including employment standards, labour relations, human rights, health and safety, and pay equity
- Experience supporting both unionized and non‑unionized environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, sensitive employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies to operational and financial objectives
- Advanced communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to coach leaders and resolve issues effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Proficient with HR technology and systems (e.g., MS Office, HRIS/PeopleSoft or equivalent)
- Experience within the healthcare sector considered an asset
