We're about doing what's right and feeling good about it.Position DetailsWhat You Will DoTranslate a wide range of documents (memos, presentations, e-mail) as well as manage complex projects of confidential nature from English to FrenchTailor translated material based on audience and distribution channelTranslation of other media (videos, podcasts, web material)Review complex or specialized materials and edit translated material done by outside agenciesProof internally created promotional materials and advertisements; edit for consistency, accuracy, spelling, and grammarDevelop and maintain strong internal relationships with key stakeholdersAssist departments in complying with the French language requirementsSupport Translation Services Manager in updating and maintaining the bilingual terminology data base, glossary, and lexiconsSupport in planning, scheduling, and monitoring translation projects and ensure deadlines are metParticipate in brainstorming sessions for Marketing-related translationsResponsible for researching evolving best practices in translation and making recommendations on how to improve engagement for our Quebec-based AssociatesHelping to review and update Echelon's Intranet with French contentWork with the Translation Services Manager to support the planning of internal events to ensure our Quebec audience receives the same experience as other regionsHelping to translate event related materials (i.e., invites, presentations, signage, gifts, promotional materials)Support our Translation Services Manager in preparing speakers for events (speaker notes, dry-runs)Who You AreUniversity Degree in Translation or related field3-5 years of corporate translation and event support experienceFluent in French and EnglishExperience working with large scale translation projects and stakeholder managementKnowledge of WordPress, CAT tools (MemoQ, Trados, etc.), MS Office, and social mediaPrevious insurance experience a strong assetExperience translating video subtitles a strong assetActive member of the OTTIAQ an assetWhat's In It For YouCompetitive total compensation and benefits packageAnnual shared success program based on performanceAnnual merit increases based on performanceDefined Contribution Pension Plan with a matching contribution componentComplimentary CAA Membership#LI-HYBRIDOur CommitmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
