What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Assisting the Chief Stationary Engineer in the safe and efficient operation of the power plant.
  • Performing water testing on boilers and cooling systems and making adjustments to control systems to maintain ideal operating conditions.
  • Making routine rounds to check on plant equipment, maintaining manual and computerized logs, and creating work repair requests.
  • Assisting other plant maintenance staff in equipment repairs, maintaining a high level of housekeeping, and reporting all activities to the Chief Stationary Engineer.
  • Troubleshooting process problems and initiating corrective action to increase productivity.
  • Attending meetings as required.
  • Maintaining/monitoring/testing/logging all steam generating requirements by operation code.
  • Performing routine equipment maintenance and installations as per the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Adhering and Supporting Safety and Environmental policies and practices.
  • Ensuring the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001 are conformed to.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable working part-time on weekends and to cover vacations
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a 4th Class Stationary Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
