Schedule: Days – Sunday- ThursdayShift: Afternoon/Evening (Varies)Rate: As per CBAJob Purpose:This position includes all responsibilities associated to maintaining all of the company owned equipment required to complete the live haul and arriving at the destinations safely and efficiently.Main duties

The transport and delivery of live poultry products to the primary processing facilities from various Farms locations within Alberta.
Preparing the truck and trailer units for transport and operation as per regulatory requirements
Accountable for ensuring the truck and trailers are in good operating condition and meet regulatory requirements.
Ensuring a safe work environment for coworkers, customers and producers.
Responsible for other duties as required

Requirements:

Must have a valid Alberta Class 1 Drivers’ License, with air brakes required for tractor-trailer units.
Must pass be able to pass Road Test (will be sent to third party for testing)
Must be physically fit and able to roll tarps up and down during summer as well as in winter
Provide and maintain a clean 5-year commercial drivers abstract.
Minimum of two (2) years driving experience.
Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Responsible for compliance to Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Environmental Standards at all times.

A regular need to stop or move/lift light material or equipment.Physical Environment: Regular exposure to factors causing moderate discomfort. Slight possibility of accident or illness.Sensory Attention: Occasional need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing to what is happening.Mental Stress: Work and environment tend to be repetitious/ unchanging. Some pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
