As an Electronics Manufacturing Tech, you will be responsible for the timely production of high-quality, complex instruments and sensors. Your technical skills enable AML to deliver outstanding instrumentation, delighting our customers and enhancing our reputation.Responsibilities:
  • Build and test instruments, sensors, and sub-assemblies.
  • Minimize out-of-box failures, strive for very high levels of quality.
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • Complete builds within standard build time expectations.
  • Operate software & firmware programming tools.
  • Contribute to improving build yields and other improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate procedure discrepancies to Operations Engineering.
  • Assist team members with training, troubleshooting, and meeting weekly goals.
  • Distinguish symptoms from root cause.
  • Be proactive in raising any health and safety concerns and and assist with resolution.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable for adhering to safe work practices.
  • Promotes AML's culture and support team members.
  • Cross train across builds and backup other positions needed.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • A diploma in Electronics Technology, or equivalent is not required, but an asset.
  • Experience with electronics or assembly is not required, but an asset.
  • Meticulous and detail oriented, with a high level of manual dexterity.
  • Assembly and soldering skills.
  • Ability to read and follow electronic schematics is an asset.
  • Can use a computer effectively and interact with various software programs.
  • Ability to learn troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Aptitude for process improvement, and can distinguish what adds value.
  • Can visualize steps and sequencing.
  • Can communicate effectively in a clear, concise, and professional manner; both written and verbal.
  • Embraces change with excitement and passion.
