Work Schedule:

The successful candidate must be available to work 8 hour rotating shifts - Days, Evenings, Weekends and on-call. Schedules may change based on operational needs.


BAND J : $33.59 - $48.10 per hour

What you bring to MSH:
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
  • RN with undergraduate nursing degree preferred or equivalent appropriate and applicable experience
  • Post graduate Certificate in operating room nursing or equivalent required
  • Current BCLS certification
  • 5 years of recent hospital experience
  • 2 years of recent perioperative experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Experience in a minimally invasive surgical setting is an asset
  • Canadian Nurses Association Certification as CPN(C) preferred
  • Membership with the Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC)
  • Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
  • Ability to act as a resource and role model
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to embrace ongoing change and innovations
  • Excellent physical assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Familiar with professional and hospital standards, guidelines and procedures
  • Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently
  • Well developed communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
