Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Global Functions Technology (GFT) delivers innovative and impactful technologies for business functions across the enterprise. The team leads the development of IT solutions for Finance, Human Resources, Risk, Audit, Legal and Compliance, in addition to Financial Crime, Fraud Technology, and social collaboration. In this role, you will lead the implementation of cross-department strategic initiatives, acting as a primary point of contact in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions with measurable business value. You will manage activities through project managers across multiple technology areas, in collaboration with business stakeholders.What will you do?Evaluate and provide guidance during the general and detailed planning stages of GFT strategic programs, developing strategies to ensure all projects within the program are cohesive and in line with organizational goals.Oversee work of all project teams within the program, made up of both internal staff and external contractors.Design, establish and monitor the program's project management goals, including comprehensive status reporting and monitoring of program financials for accurate forecasting against funding plans.Collaborate with business executives on using a disciplined project management approach that demonstrates a clear understanding of their business priorities, roles and responsibilities.Manage stakeholder communication and minimize engagement risk by proactively identifying issues and recommending courses of remediation.Ensure integration and alignment of programs and their associated projects with GFT strategy and priorities.Provides leadership and expert counsel in establishing and implementing standards, guidelines and best practices for the development and deployment of solutions.Manage internal teams to translate program deliverables and results into a strategic roadmap for delivery of GFT IT components that achieve business objectives.What do you need to succeed?Must have:10-15+ years of project / program management experience deploying strategic technology to deliver critical business initiatives using best practice methodologies, performance measurement, financial monitoring, risk management and change management processes.Strong communication and storytelling skills (verbal and written), including developing presentations for a variety of audiences and proactive relationship management capabilities.Team player and leader, able to influence virtual team members who do not report directly to you.Ability to work/partner with and manage numerous stakeholders – on both the business and technology side – while influencing key decision-makers in areas where you may not have direct ownership.Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to work autonomously and deal with ambiguity.Nice to have:PMP, CSM or comparable project management certification.Knowledge of financial services industry.US role: Understanding of the US financial regulatory environment.UK role: Understanding of the UK financial regulatory environment.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
