- Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management.
- Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry elements as per the relevant CSA Standards and applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs like SAP2000, ANSYS, LSDYNA.
- Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.Prepare technical specification documents.
- Support Sr. Engineers in the preparing design documents, engineering activities and compiling engineering packages.
- Assist the Team Lead for work plans and deliverables and ensure adequacy of scopes, budgets and schedules.
- Ensure the quality and consistency, accuracy, and neatness of engineering deliverables.
- Compliance with applicable QA procedures and being responsible for producing quality work.
- Delivery of all technical engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets.
- Perform walk-downs and inspections.
- Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is desired.
- Eligible to be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada (PEO).
- Minimum 3-5 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings.
- Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines, procedures and practices is preferable.
- Adequate knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.
- Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
