This role reports to the Controller.Responsibilities:Opening Job numbers in the accounting systemReviewing and Analyzing project costing on a weekly basis and reporting as required * Data mining and analytics
Ensuring contracts are signed and maintaining contracts
Creating deposit invoicesMonitoring Project scopeTracking and accounting for all project costs and creating associated reportsMaintenance and reporting on Job Cost SystemMonth End Close on Job Cost SystemPreparation of Cost AccrualsPreparation of monthly job costing reportJournal Entry PreparationTime Sheet Review and PostingCreating project invoices on a timely basis and monitoring and tracking all billing and collections on projectsAssistance with Accounts Receivable including invoice follow-up and liaison with clients for prompt paymentSupport and leadership to a variety of other accounting client and finance functionsQualifications:Pursuing CPA designationUniversity business degree5+ years of demonstrated experience in project accounting, cost accounting and financial analysisProficiency in all Microsoft office programs and applications - with advanced knowledge of ExcelExperience with Microsoft Dynamics SL Solomon is preferredFamiliarity with large scale environmental and projectsSuperior organizational and time management skillsAbility to problem solveDemonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with executives, employees, and internal teams and clientsDemonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with clientsDemonstrated proficiency in balancing achieving project and client needs while focusing on project and company revenue and margin objectives.Deadline orientedStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)
