If you’re someone who thrives in a team, enjoys working with animals, and values doing meaningful work, this could be the perfect fit for you.What you’ll be doing:Working closely with the Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the barn. This includes a variety of physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, lifting (up to 25kg), and continuous walking. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Feeding and providing general care for pigs.
- Maintaining herd health and clean and safe environment for pigs.
- Pressure washing and preparing rooms for animal entry.
- Performing minor maintenance and sanitation tasks.
- Completing clerical duties such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication.
- Following all health and safety policies and adhering to Canada Packers’ SOPs for humane animal treatment.
- Commitment to wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols.
- Availability for weekend, holiday, and alarm shifts on a rotational basis.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to a rural location.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Experience in hog production is an asset.
