The Lift Operations Supervisor is an intricate part of our winter and summer operations. The main responsibilities of the supervisor include managing the process and people required to ensure safe reliable operations of surface lifts, aerial ropeways, and the mountain coaster. The Lift Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Lift Operations Manager.Responsibilities
  • Direct the lift operations team on the safe loading and unloading of skiers, snowboarders, mountain bikers, sightseers, and mountain coaster carts.
  • Direct Lead Hands in the daily set up, operation, and closing of all lifts, ensuring each lift station meets safety, appearance, and punctuality standards.
  • Have knowledge of the lift operation regulations, safety policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Generating the schedule for lift attendants and ensure timesheets are populated accurately for weekly payroll.
  • Training staff on procedures for operating surface and aerial lifts.
  • Execute a lift attendant examination of knowledge.
  • Assist in the completion of performance reviews.
  • Motivation of employees.
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of staff recognition events throughout the season.
  • Make sure all lunch breaks are covered either by yourself or other trained lift attendants.
  • Be knowledgeable on all resort information.
Experience/Requirements:
  • Strong Leadership skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Previous supervision experience is an asset.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs easily.
  • Strong verbal communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent people skills including the ability to resolve customer satisfaction problems.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule.
