Reporting to the Manager, Compliance management, you will gain experience in the engineering design process at ELCAN including requirements management.During your time here, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting technologies, supporting the development and verification/validation of Raytheon ELCAN’s own products, participating in “Internal Research and Development”, and supporting the design of opto-mechanical systems for our Aerospace & Defense customers.What You Will Do:
  • Help organize and maintain systems engineering documents and requirements including in Visure
  • Contribute to maintaining requirements traceability matrices, ensuring alignment with design, testing, and verification activities.
  • Use Matlab/Simulink to help support systems modeling
  • Support testing on new products from test plan documentation, test execution support and test report writing
  • Provide support for Systems Engineering and Bill of Material Management
  • Review requirements for clarity, completeness and compliance
  • Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture
  • Collaborate with other functions
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Enrollment in a University program, completing 2+ years in a Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a highly organized manner
  • Strong written and communication skills with proficiency in MS Office or equivalent
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through independent study, instruction or experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Knowledge of relevant tools (Visure, DOORs, Matlab/Simulink) an asset
  • Experience in connecting requirements to solutions
  • Knowledge of Optics and/or Mechanics and drawing an asset
  • Efficiently prioritize, organize and execute on given tasks
  • Ability to be adaptive and take initiative
