- Prepare and handle food according to high quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen/deli area
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Lead by example and support team members during daily operations
- Train, motivate, and guide staff to achieve excellent performance
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and minimizing waste
- Previous experience in a deli, kitchen, or food service environment (required)
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Leadership experience or natural ability to lead and motivate others
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A dependable and responsible team player
- Someone with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A leader who inspires others and takes initiative
- Previous food production experience is an asset
- Handles production equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Build product accurately and quickly
- Work as part of a coordinated team
- Understand and follow all safety standards including safety training, handling of chemicals (WHIMIS), good manufacturing practices (GMP’S), and using personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Highly motivated and team oriented
- Works in a Safe and responsible manner
- Must be available to work on weekends, day shifts, and night shifts
- Constant standing
- Constant reaching below shoulder level
- Constant gripping and use of production materials
- Occasional bending and twisting
- Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds including waist level and low level lifts
- Ability to handle a cool working environment of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius
