Veterinary Technologist Specialty Team LeadLocation: Calgary, AlbertaAre you passionate about pets and providing exemplary patient care? Then we want you to join our amazing team!The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre (C.A.R.E.), a member of VCA Canada, is currently welcoming a full-time Registered Veterinary Technologist Supervisor for Specialty Technician to join our team.The Specialty Technologist Team Lead will also work closely with the hospital's leadership team to promote a positive hospital image and continuously work towards the betterment of the hospital. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work efficiently on your own and with the team. Additional duties and responsibilities include;Training and orientation for new team members,Creating an equitable schedule for the teamCoordinating vacation coverageCross-training within the hospital departments,Assist in performance managementInvolvement in patient treatments as necessary to support the ER team and overall hospital support.Schedule: This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with a schedule that can be flexible to meet your individual needs. 50 percent of this role will be working within the Specialty services as an RVT and 50 percent will be time to do administrative tasks.What VCA Canada OffersJoin our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
