In-house manufacturing and vertical integration are critical aspects of our culture and philosophy at NordSpace, which is why we have invested in everything from robotic welders and massive SLM metal additive manufacturing machines to clean rooms, CNC plasma cutters and mills, composite ovens, and more. ‍Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in fabrication and manufacturing of mechanical systems, including welding
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field
  • Significant experience designing and building mechanical systems, ideally with a portfolio of personal projects
  • Significant experience with fabricating mechanical systems with machining tools such as lathes, mills, CNCs, 3D printers, welders and with materials such as metal tubes and sheets, carbon fiber, and plastics
  • Significant knowledge of and deep passion for the space industry at large
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent research
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
This is a full-time in-person role at our head office in Markham
