- Utilize the Strategic Planning Model (SPM), the basis for the five-year financial forecast for the individual affiliates and the consolidated company.
- Utilize various tool in developing and analyzing Budget and Outlook scenarios.
- Assist with development of the annual budgeting and five-year financial planning process and management reporting.
- Manage the preparation of various aspects of utility business drivers for budget/forecast updates and reports on actual performance relative to budget, outlooks and prior periods.
- Consolidate monthly financial outlook updates by aggregating inputs from business owners and validating financial statement results
- Partner with Strategy and other departments and unregulated businesses as needed to estimate the impact of proposed changes in the business.
- Develop reports for use by finance leadership to explain corporate financial results and track key metrics of operational performance
- Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, economics or another related quantitative discipline. preferred
- 5+ Years experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). required
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or professional designation (CPA/CFA) preferred.
- Demonstrated advanced skills and experience in financial modeling and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors and peers.
- Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse audiences at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office and business analysis tools, for data management, research, analysis and reporting purposes. Experience with Hyperion Cloud Budgeting and Planning system preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, and to identify relevant issues in solving business problems.
