- Responsible for independent project management of multiple concurrent mechanical design projects:
- Management of scope and deliverables
- Management of CAD deliverables and management of CAD staff deliverables
- Management of requests with authorities having jurisdiction
- Management of project budgets and financials
- Provide client communication and coordination, design development, and construction contract administration for mechanical systems upgrade projects mentioned above.
- Provide feasibility and assessment studies related to existing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and building automation systems related to above.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, facility management professionals and technicians in order to develop short and long-term recommendations, design and construction implementation related to mechanical upgrade projects for existing facilities.
- The Senior Mechanical Engineer must be able to work independently with minimal supervision to complete project assignments.
- Support Project Delivery Services Project Managers and Workplace Solutions Architects from project initiation to completion.
- Support the Professional Services team with mentoring young engineers.
- Support the Professional Services team to develop and improve processes, including quality control.
- Support the Professional Services team to further develop and upkeep standard specifications, detail libraries, and design best practices.
- Support the Professional Services team with experience and leadership on all mechanical related scope items.
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or College Diploma with minimum 9 years of consulting industry experience providing mechanical design and engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer able to stamp mechanical drawings in the province of Ontario.
- Strong technical background in engineering and construction of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), building controls, plumbing and life safety systems.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards - such as Provincial and National Building Codes, NFPA, ASHRAE, ASME, API, ANSI, CSA, etc.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment and able to coordinate with Architectural, Electrical and Structural disciplines.
- Proficient with MS Office products.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, and other employees.
- Prior client interface experience.

- Able to travel throughout North America.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in other Provinces would be considered a bonus.
- Must have a valid Class G license and vehicle in order to travel throughout Ontario for projects.
- Willing to travel to other provinces for projects.
