- Support Technical Operations by providing process improvements and technical support to users relating to financial management
- Document Financial Management related processes and support training development for end users
- User acceptance testing and validation of AMOS processes
- Implement financial configurations and settings upon request from departments to improve the organisational use of AMOS
- Provide complex report requirements to ACC teams for development
- Act as a liaison between Finance Department, IT Support, AMOS Support and other AMOS business users
- Responsible for ensuring the financial stability of AMOS to ensure that financial continuity and integrity are maintained throughout the organization
- Support department reporting requirements through workflows and scheduler tasks
- Assist in the implementation of new and updated AMOS programs
- Assist with system auditing to ensure Regulatory Compliance and Financial statement compliance.
- Participate in regular organisational meetings
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Must have experience working with ERP financial accounting systems
- Experience working with aviation companies is an asset
- 1 to 3 years of financial accounting experience; experience in the airline or transportation sector is considered an asset
- Experience with aviation maintenance management software systems is an asset
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- High level of computing and software skills/knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive unit
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced and flexible work environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
