The St.Amant Foundation seeks a strategic and compassionate Executive Director to lead its efforts in improving the quality of life for over 5,000 individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury in Manitoba. This leadership role calls for a passionate individual who can navigate the evolving landscape of fundraising, develop strategic partnerships, and enhance the Foundation's impact through innovative solutions.The Executive Director reports directly to the President & CEO of St.Amant and is responsible for aligning the Foundation's strategic goals with St.Amant's mission, vision, values, and policies. The Executive Director serves as the primary ambassador for the Foundation, working collaboratively with the Board of Directors and partnered programs to ensure success.This leadership position is an excellent opportunity for an Executive Director who enjoys operational excellence and innovation, shaping new methodologies and evolving a fundraising organization to meet challenges. This position is integral to the operational and business success of St.Amant, playing an important role in elevating the quality of life for individuals it serves.Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic leadership to the Foundation, including operational planning, program development, grant-making, financial management, and stakeholder relations.
  • Fundraising and Development: Design, execute, and evaluate fundraising strategies that spans planned giving, annual contributions, major gifts, capital campaigns, and hallmark special events. Lead these strategies with a proactive stance on identifying and cultivating new funding streams and donor relationships, ensuring the Foundation's financial sustainability and growth.
  • Operational Innovation and Process Improvement: Develop and implement operational procedures and processes to reflect the evolving nature of the organization and its services. Reimagine the Foundation's approach to fundraising and capitalize on emerging grant opportunities through a focus on grant acquisition and proposal development.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to the Foundation's team, fostering a work environment that champions growth, operational excellence, and team collaboration.
  • Community Engagement and Partnerships: Act as the Foundation's primary ambassador, exploring partnership opportunities and engaging with diverse stakeholders and communities. Lead the cultivation and nurturing of relationships with existing and prospective donors, reinforcing the Foundation's reputation and expanding its philanthropic reach.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, public administration, or related field preferred. (Certified Fund-Raising Executive accreditation is an asset.)
  • Progressive leadership experience in the non-profit sector or philanthropy. Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant-making, and event planning. Experience working with a Board of Directors and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, proficiency in non-profit governance, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Strong knowledge of fund development strategies and experience with major gift programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a collaborative working environment.
