- Participate in the provision of a provincial training curriculum in CBT for the OSP program (in keeping with the Program’s objectives) to community and hospital-based therapists within our region and provincially
- Provide individual and group clinical consultation to registered mental health therapists
- Provide consultation to clinical intake clinicians
- Conduct clinical assessment and diagnostic interviews to determine suitability for the OSP program
- Interpret standardized psychological assessment instruments
- Practice Measurement Based Care (progress monitoring and outcome evaluation) to inform treatment decisions, enhance client outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives
- Use case conceptualization to design individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Coordinate care among internal and external service providers
- Ensure services are culturally safe and appropriate
- Provide psychological treatment in individual or group format for the purpose of maintaining clinical skills and for direct training and consultation of trainees
- Function as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team
- Liaise and consult with relevant community agencies and service providers
- Build effective collaborative working relationships with stakeholders
- Provide teaching and training of mental health professionals and other staff working in the service.
- Participate in Psychology training activities, including teaching and supervision of pre-doctoral clinical Psychology residents and practicum students
- Participate in and provide leadership to OSP research and evaluation projects and take an active role in data collection and developing reports.
- Demonstrate professional integrity through adherence to college and hospital guidelines for the practice of psychology, including; adherence to the Canadian Code of Ethics for psychologists, adherence to College of Psychologists of Ontario guidelines for registration, professional practice, professional development, supervision, communications and documentation of client contacts, as well as adherence to The Royal’s policies on timely completion of documentation and workload measurement.
- Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.

- Doctorate from a CPA/APA Accredited Psychology Program.
- CPA/APA accredited internship/residency (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario is mandatory. Autonomous Practice is preferred. Candidates who can complete this requirement within 18 months of date of hire will be considered for a conditional offer of employment.
- Authorized area of practice in Clinical Psychology mandatory. Authorized client population with Adults is mandatory, and with Seniors would be an asset.
- Five years experience post PhD in clinical mental health
- Mandatory clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of:Aanxiety disorders, Mood disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Illness anxiety disorder and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder using evidence-based CBT approaches.
- Clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders is an asset
- Experience delivering CBT and Relevant CBT protocols within the OSP program is an asset
- Mandatory experience in provision of training in CBT and clinical consultation and supervision
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary service delivery model is mandatory.
- Knowledge of applicable legislated Acts (i.e. MHA, PHIPA, The Health Care Consent Act).
- Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and ability to establish and maintain good working relations

- Valid G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Effective mentoring and clinical supervision skills to support both the academic role and the clinical practice of other team members.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading, and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
