- Technical leadership of a team of engineers.
- Technical oversight of major projects, including supporting and conducting design analysis, field investigation plans and professional report writing.
- Project management of geotechnical investigation and design assignments including responsibility for project scope, schedule, quality, safety, and cost control.
- Liaise and collaborate with other disciplines within Egis on joint proposals and projects.
- Conduct site reviews as needed during conceptual, investigation, and construction phases.
- Liaise with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors.
- Provide guidance, mentoring and pavements design (roadway design, AASHTOWare ME analysis etc.) training to staff as required.
- Licensed member of Professional Engineers Ontario with a minimum of 15 years of consulting experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Demonstrated strong experience designing pavements for major infrastructure, highway and rail transit systems within Ontario, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
- In-depth knowledge and extensive working experience with applicable regulations, codes, and guidelines such as CFEM, OPSS, AASHTOWARE ME, PDRM, and other relevant Canadian and international standards.
- Demonstrated experience working with or managing multi-disciplinary project teams, including the ability to lead and motivate team members effectively.
- Substantial previous construction inspection experience, including the ability to identify and resolve complex geotechnical issues on-site.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possession of a Graduate Degree (Master's or PhD) in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering is highly desirable.
- Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and control budgets effectively.
- Strong client management and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated project experience working with various municipalities across Ontario, with preference given to previous experience within the GTHA.
- Proficiency in pavement design software packages such as AASHTOWare ME, PavementDesigner, or similar tools for advanced analysis and modelling.
- Experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations, proposals, and reports to clients and at industry conferences.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with emerging trends and technologies in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex geotechnical challenges.
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
