Join the Island Gold District team and be a part of the long-life mining operations, as we prioritize our employee growth, high performance and a culture of safety and accountability.Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Fuel and Lube Technician will ensure fuel and lubrication activities are completed safely while supporting the maintenance team as needed.Primary Responsibility & Duties
  • Ensure all fuel & lube activities are completed accurately according to manufacturer’s standards in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide fuel and lubrication service as well as regular preventative maintenance for mobile mining equipment.
  • Support the maintenance team in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel & lube service reports and repair logs.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to provide optimum levels of performance, document and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor relevant inventory and request required parts as needed.
  • Ensure adjustments and repairs are performed correctly.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • Completion of year 12 Secondary education (Required)
  • G Class Driver’s License (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge of current, applicable safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Able to plan and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a defined rotation schedule. 7days on / 7 days off.Alamos Gold Inc.
