- Work with AutoCAD and Solid works as required to create floor layouts.
- Work with Assembly staff to develop business tools aimed at streamlining how we gather, analyze, and publish KPIs and departmental data.
- Work with Assembly Leads to support Problem Solving Events, Kaizens, 5S, and other Continuous Improvement Activities.
- Work with Assembly Management Team to develop content for the Assembly SharePoint site.
- Create Resource Loading dashboards for each Assembly Department with the ability to roll them up into a Divisional Resource Loading view.
- Support Shop floor DVM (Daily Visual Management), related reports and other activities as required.
- Upload all received assembly quality documentation into UpChain PLM
- Go on to shop floor to verify dimensions of layouts.
- Perform minor drawings additions/revisions as related to Assembly related training activities.
- Maintain Assembly share point site with relevant floor lay out information as well as up to date KPI's
- Support Assembly Innovation Projects and other departments as required
- Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures.
- A post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Courses in SolidWorks, Agile Management would be an asset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and basic Web Editing.
- Efficient working knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD, SolidWorks
- Experience working with Excel VBA coding is essential
- Strong skills in the MS Office suite
- Experience using JDE, Jira, or EnterpriseOne is an asset
- An understanding of work and process flows and the ability to identify bottlenecks within
- Displays strong attention to detail and competencies in relationship management, collaboration, and time management
- Works well in a fast-paced environment both in a team and independently, able to adapt to dynamic situations, and can impact and influence outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to provide clear and concise documentation, reports and updates to relevant stakeholders
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills
- Work in conformance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures and compliance to legislative requirements.
- Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods.
- Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts, defects in any equipment or protective device, and any accidents/incidents to the supervisor.
- Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for assigned tasks.
- Attend all the required health, safety and environmental training.
- Assist in investigating accidents/incidents where applicable.
- Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running, or rough and boisterous conduct.
