- Conduct in-depth reviews of financial statements for a large portfolio of lease properties.
- Analyze and interpret financial ratios and key metrics to assess the financial health and viability of each property.
- Collaborate directly with property managers, presenting findings and actionable recommendations to optimize property management strategies.
- Perform financial due diligence, ensuring assessments are accurate, consistent, and comprehensive.
- Prepare detailed business valuation reports supporting executive decision-making.
- Communicate complex financial analyses clearly to stakeholders, adapting messaging for non-financial audiences as needed.
- Maintain thorough and well-organized documentation for all evaluations, calculations, and recommendations.
- Provide strategic financial advice aligned with public sector best practices and changing market regulations.
- Remain up-to-date with financial trends, sector regulations, and reporting standards that may impact property assessments.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, business valuation, and due diligence engagements.
- Strong ability to interpret and analyze comprehensive financial statements (with notes).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software/tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with public sector accounting or not-for-profit organizations; experience considered a strong asset.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required; professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or similar) are preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
