- Proactive & reactive security patrols
- Monitoring and supervision of patients
- Conflict management and de-escalation
- Verbal and physical patient interventions and de-escalation
- Customer Service
- Response to incidents
- Report writing
- Investigate routine incidents
- Parking and smoking enforcement/by-laws
- Policy awareness and enforcement
- Additional Duties as Assigned
- Must have
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid/CPR - Level C from WSIB-approved source
- Minimum 6 months security experience
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
- Steps to get your immunization records:
- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Any applicant who does not meet these criteria will be automatically filed.
- Must be able to
- Complete the mandatory certifications prior to deployment (through Paladin or a 3rd party) in Stay Safe
- Complete mandatory onboarding training with Paladin
- Complete patrolling as necessary of interior and exterior of site (including in inclement weather)
- Pass an N95 Mask Fit Test (requires clean shaven face)
- Remain calm in emergency situations
- Follow and enforce site rules and regulations as set out by both the client and Paladin
- Operate independently as well as part of a team to complete tasks
- Sit or stand up to 12 hours per shift
- Effectively verbally de-escalate situations
- Complete reports at the end of shift, including incident reports
- Complete ongoing training & development as directed by Paladin Management or the client
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
- 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The Stay Safe training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
