Handyperson

• Conduct physical inspections of interior and exterior building areas and remain flexible to work at various sites based on operational needs.

• Patch and paint
• Porter services
• Scope of work includes, but not limited to, moving of office furniture, room setups for events and academic needs.
• Minor furniture assembly and repairs such as metal carts, shelving, chairs, and tables.
• On-site locksmith services, minor repairs of locks and doors, and key database management.
• Mounting and affixing items to the wall include whiteboards, TV displays, poster boards, etc.
• Other handymen duties as required.
• Perform periodic and seasonal preventive maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Maintain the lighting system and re-lamp as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and/or complaints from service desks and notify the Facility Coordinator immediately in case of an emergency.
• Shipping/receiving and delivery of supplies and equipment, Inventory control, stock keeper, operate micro-computer program
• General maintenance of Signages, Door/Window closures, door handles and hinges and other like devices.
• Assist Building Maintenance staff as required.

• 3 or more years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Handyperson

• Must be able to hold and maintain a Reliability Security Clearance
• Construction or renovation experience preferred
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• A team player, committed to working in a quality environment
• Ability to work in confined spaces, on a ladder or scaffold at various heights
• Bending and Lifting required, lifting under 30 kgs
• HVAC knowledge will be considered an asset
• Forklift training will be considered an asset
