- Lead or support continuous improvement projects and events, including developing project plans, setting timelines, and tracking progress to successful completion.
- Support the development and implementation of Operational Excellence program elements.
- Identify and deliver on opportunities to drive the Operational Excellence culture and to improve overall engagement while remaining agile in approach.
- Coach leaders and employees through the use and delivery of Operational Excellence tools, templates and resources.
- Monitor and advise on the alignment of improvement projects and events to the Operational Excellence standards and procedures.
- Support leaders in the development, rollout and measurement of their annual business objectives and plans.
- Assess, develop, facilitate and recommend Operational Excellence training programs focused on continuous improvement skills development throughout the organization.
- Advise department and functional leaders on the appropriate use of communication and change management practices to ensure smooth adoption of change.
- Facilitate and coach employees and leaders on the identification and development of improvement projects and their execution.
- Gather and analyze data to support decision-making and measure the effectiveness of process improvements. Use data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Provide recommendations for key performance indicators to ensure the right things are being measured in support of overall business strategy.
- Collaborate with various departments to foster a cross-functional approach to problem-solving and improvement. Act as a liaison between different stakeholders to ensure alignment and cooperation.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Recognized Continuous Improvement Certification or equivalent in Lean or Six Sigma (such as a Green Belt or Black Belt).
- 2 years’ experience developing, implementing and knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices (Lean, Six Sigma, process optimization).
- Experience in energy, minerals, or chemical production industry is an asset.
- Change management certification is an asset.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, including public speaking, event facilitation, and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas and recommendations to diverse audiences.
- Analytical skill set to turn data into useful business information for decision making.
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate with all levels in the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
