The successful candidate will play a key role in executing transactions, preparing offering documents, conducting industry research, and developing financial models. Together, we represent a highly specialized team of experts who provide a full suite of financial service solutions including:
  • Advise on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and private equity transactions
  • Equity capital, debt capital and financial markets
  • Corporate banking, loan syndications and project finance
  • Institutional sales and trading
  • Institutional research to leverage industry and sector insight
ATB Cormark’s Mining Team is a top-ranked advisor and underwriter in the metals and mining sector. Over the past 5 years, the Mining Team has advised on mergers & acquisitions with an aggregate transaction value of $15+ billion and participated in over 240 financings (led >100) totaling $12.5+ billion in aggregate proceeds.## AccountabilitiesPrimary duties consist of, but are not limited to:
  • Developing presentation materials to support our clients’ decision-making
  • Supporting deal teams in the execution of advisory and financing mandates with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time
  • Evaluating and analyzing the financial strength of corporate clients, including performing valuation analysis and building complex financial models
  • Conducting in-depth industry and company-specific related research to identify key market trends, risks, and actionable opportunities.
  • Maintaining and developing databases and spreadsheets
  • Performing various tasks assisting senior team members in deal execution and client coverage efforts
## Skills, Experience & Requirements
  • A university degree with a focus on Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or Engineering
  • A Master's degree or CFA, CPA, CA, CBV designation is a plus
  • 0-2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or a related financial services role
  • Experience in the metals and mining sector is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities, timelines and requests while maintaining a high standard of work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interest in the metals and mining industry and a commitment to building a career in investment banking
